Sos Charity

Social Charity is a charity program conducted by the Social Affairs under the auspices of the Community Service division (Community Service). The Sos Charity committee is held by all board members of the Social Security cabinet of Dharmaguna and volunteers from the members of the Social Security itself. Sos Charity is a work program that aims to increase the sense of social awareness of all students, especially students of the Sociology Study Program. As the name implies, the whole series of events from Sos Charity is an activity to raise donation materials in the form of used clothes, used books, stationery, and even cash.

            This year, Social Charity was held at the Dria Raba Education Foundation, Jln. Sergeant Major Gede No. 11, Dangin Puri Denpasar on Sunday 9 June 2019 at 10.00 West Indonesia Time which is close to National Children's Day. The Chairperson of this program is Ni Kadek Noviar Grace Chandra Putri (sociology 18). Proceeds from raising donated materials that have been collected will be donated at this orphanage. In addition to the donation, all the committees and volunteers participated in entertaining the children who have special needs at the orphanage by singing, playing games, having lunch together and making a tree of hope. As in the previous Social Security program, Ms. Nazrina Zuryani as Deputy Dean III had the opportunity to open this Social Charity event. Not to forget, all the departments in the environment of FISIP as well as BEM FISIP and the Linimassa Press were also invited to this event.

With this activity, all the committee and volunteer sociology students can lighten the burden of the children in Dria Raba Education Foundation. In addition, the procurement of this activity as well as implementing one of the tri dharma of tertiary institutions is community service which we should be used in society, especially with our study program is sociology where the main lab is the community.
